About: Tamil Nadu, a South Indian state, is famed for its Dravidian-style Hindu temples. The Great Living Chola temples such as the Brihadeeswara Temple, or the rock-cut Pallava temples at Mahabalipuram are listed as World Heritage sites and draw a great number of visitors internationally.

When to go: Although there may be intermittent rains that occur during November and December is it still the best time to visit Tamil Nadu, especially for sightseeing and exploring the cities. The beaches are lovely, and the water is not too cold.

The five monuments in the Pancha Rathas complex is where you can see an example of monolithic Indian rock-cut architecture.

Each of the five monuments resembles a chariot, and each is carved over a single, long stone or monolith, of granite which slopes in north-south direction

Marina Beach is a beautiful natural urban beach offering a recreational shoreline with food vendors and spectacular views.
